I our morning briefing (stand-up for a 100 or so team members) a quote was used to resonated with my desire to have the Declaration of Interdependence(DoI) have more meaning for me.
Action is eloquence - William Shakespeare
This was targeted at the team to focus their efforts on action - in words and products (we're in proposal mode). But what connected me was the "statement of principles" in the DoI that have wonderful meaning, but not yet any actionable outcomes.
I'm working on a paper for ADC as well as some briefing materials for other clients on Systems Engineering aspects of project management. In SE action is the watch word. "Doing something" is the measure of progress.
The discussion of how to move DoI into this actionable outcome domain needs to move forward.
