Some posters to Project Management forums use the Six Friends signature or mention a small number of principles. There is a slide in a recent training class that used them as well. Maybe it's time to restate them here as the Principles of Project Planning
- Who - is responsible for performing the work?
- What - are the constituent components of the work?
- When - are these components required to be complete?
- Where - will this work be performed?
- Why - does this work need to be done?
- How - does this work support the project strategy?
