In every domain there is a set of "code words" that everyone shares. I'm working on the training briefings (there are 3) for the Earned Value Management World 2010 Conference. One session is about Technical Performance Measures, and I'm using a notional - but real - example of a WBS to "connect the dots" between WBS, Cost, Schedule, Risk, and the Technical Performance Measures of the Work Packages and the increasing maturity of the program's deliverables.
While looking for some good pictures of the flying machine, came across the Glossary of our domain. Can't have enough of these around, since when we deep into the work processes and someone comes into the conference and says something about something not being right and walks out, I really don't want to be turning to my seatmate and ask - "what is the definition of that word we were just told to look into?"
