CMMI-DEV 1.3 is released. While those in the agile commmunity may not see this as important, for those of us managing or participating in the development of enterprise and government software intensive programs looked forward to the upgrading of several Process Areas.
You may ask "how cares" about CMMI-DEV outside of government? Good question. Here's the inverse question.
- Using the field data from SEI that connects process maturity with increases in success of software projects, how does a proposed development process fit into the Process Areas (PA) of CMMI?
In other words how does any proposed software development method show it can increase the Probability of Progam Success (PoPS)?
