The initial flight of the X-47B is a success. This is an example - possibly an extreme example - of an engineered software system and an engineered team of software developers.
I know there is lots of discussion around how teams are constructed, how the staff on that team interacts, and how the discussion around Complex Adaptive Systems and emergent interactions between the team members takes place.
There are many different domains and contexts for this discussion. Mine is in the space and defense business. I probably need to state that on every post I make, because there seems to be an automatic response when what works (or for the most part works) in our domain is seen as the devil incarnate in some other domain.
