The Agile Manifesto has caused consternation in the traditional community ever since it came out. By Traditional I don't mean BAD project management, POOR discipline, and ROGUE software developers. I mean the disciplined management of software development. I mean management of projects using over people's money. I mean software-intensive programs that have fixed budgets, fixed deliveries, and mission-critical products.
Here's a quick and easy fix for the Agile Manifesto that provides guidance to us here in the "traditional" community. This moves the conversation forward to the 12 Principles of Agile that are being discussed at an upcoming NDIA (National Defense Industry Association) conference.
